Focus and Scope

Phytoterrica is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research, reviews, and short communications in the fields of plant systems, soil interactions, and plant health. The journal provides a platform for interdisciplinary research that enhances our understanding of plant growth, productivity, resilience, and sustainability in relation to soil and environmental factors.

The journal welcomes contributions in the following areas:

• Agronomy

• Plant Breeding

• Soil Science

• Microbiology (related to plant-soil-microbe interactions)

• Plant Protection

• Stress Biology

In addition, Phytoterrica encourages submissions that apply advanced and integrative scientific approaches, including but not limited to:

• Omics Technologies (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.)

• Bioinformatics and Computational Biology

• Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology

• Precision Agriculture and Smart Farming Technologies

The journal is particularly interested in research that supports sustainable agricultural practices, improves crop resilience to biotic and abiotic stresses, and fosters innovation in plant and soil sciences.

Phytoterrica publishes twice a year (May and November) and is committed to making scientific knowledge freely accessible. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, and no article processing charges (APCs) are applied.
