Peer Review Process
Phytoterrica implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure objective, fair, and high-quality evaluation of all submitted manuscripts.
Initial Screening
All manuscripts are first assessed by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and basic quality standards. Submissions that pass this stage are then assigned to peer reviewers.
Review Assignment
Each eligible manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process to maintain impartiality.
Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on their:
-
Subject expertise
-
Publication record
-
Absence of conflicts of interest
The editorial board ensures that all peer reviews are conducted ethically, constructively, and in a timely manner.
Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on each manuscript, taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations, the quality of the work, and its relevance to the journal.
Review Timeline
The peer review process typically takes 4–6 weeks from the date of assignment. Authors will be notified promptly if delays occur.
